We are a small Caravan Park with a small team to take care of the cleaning and maintenance. Please no check ins prior to 2pm without prior arrangement.

About Kywong

Situated in Nelson, Victoria, Kywong Caravan Park is nestled among the tranquil bush land of the Lower Glenelg National Park. Being part of a State Forest, there is a no pets allowed policy at all times. We are only a short walk from the river, which makes our park a great hub for families, adventure seekers, outdoor enthusiasts and those just trying to escape busy city life. The closest boat ramp is 1 kilometre from the Park. We have 11 cabins, 63 powered sites, 18 reserved unpowered sites as well as a general unpowered camping area. Much like Nelson Township, the park is generally quiet and has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We aim to provide a great holiday experience so that travellers of all kinds can enjoy the outdoors. We cannot guarantee the quality of Television reception here at the Park. No fires will be allowed during fire restriction season which is from 9th December to 30th April.  No hard fuel type of fires including charcoal can be used during the fire restriction period. Gas Barbeques can be used. We do not allow generators.

 

Community

Kywong Caravan Park is unique as it is a community based operation. The park is run by a not-for-profit organisation with proceeds invested back into the local township to make it more enjoyable for residents and tourists alike.

Conservation

Because we are located in national park, we have a few things to consider. We ask that all guests be respectful of the park facilities, surrounding bush land as well as any local animals you may come across. To protect the township, flora and fauna No fires will be allowed during fire restriction season which is from 9th December to 30th April.  No hard fuel type of fires including charcoal can be used during the fire restriction period. Gas Barbeques can be used. . We have great cooking facilities in our camp kitchen which are free to use at any time.
